Restorative Practices
Developing Student Support through Talking Circles
At Marmion, we are intentional about building both strong individuals and a strong community. Through our Counseling Department, we’ve integrated talking circles into our social-emotional learning and use them throughout the year in classrooms.
We also incorporate restorative justice circles, creating space for reflection, accountability, and healing. At their core, these practices encourage listening, understanding, and connection—supporting personal growth while strengthening our school community.
Restorative talking circles have been incorporated into the community life of the Abbey, as a witness to emphasize our ongoing commitment to healing and compassion.
